The Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Bill, 2019 Has Been passed by the Lok Sabha at August 2019. The Bill defines a transgender person as a person whose gender doesn't match the gender assigned at birth. It features trans-men and trans-women, persons using intersex variants, gender-queers, and individuals using socio-cultural identities, such as linear and hijra.
